A hybrid redundancy scheme for medium‐voltage three‐phase cascaded H‐bridge electronic power transformer

A hybrid redundancy (HR) scheme is proposed for the medium-voltage three-phase cascaded H-bridge electronic power transformer (CHB-EPT) based on combination of global redundant modules and local modules. “HOT-FIRST-LOCAL-FIRST” transition strategy designed to achieve a short time. Furthermore, reduce loss modules, an intermittent charging (IC) hot-reserved The detailed analysis topology shows that can low cost, high reliability, loss, good performance. performances are verified by simulations experimental results.
